The Life of St. Claude de la Colombière
Claude was a gifted Jesuit preacher and teacher in France. Sent as superior to the small Jesuit house at Paray-le-Monial, he became the confessor of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and believed her when she told him of Christ's appearances.
He spent the rest of his short life spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, including as a preacher in London. His Act of Confidence in God is still prayed by people who long to trust the Lord.
