The Life of St. Carlo Acutis

Carlo was a regular kid from Milan who loved soccer, his dogs, PlayStation, Pokemon and Super Mario. He taught himself to code, built websites for his parish, and set a rule to play video games only an hour a week so they would not take over his life. Classmates remember him standing up for kids who were bullied.

His real passion was the Eucharist. He went to Mass every day he could and built an online exhibit of Eucharistic miracles that has toured the world. He bought sleeping bags for homeless men with his own pocket money. Carlo died of illness at fifteen in 2006, and he rests in Assisi dressed in jeans and sneakers.

“To be always united to Jesus, this is my program for life.”
