The Life of Holy Mary Mother of God
Mary of Nazareth said yes to God as a young woman, and her yes changed the world. She raised Jesus in a small village home, followed Him to the foot of the Cross, and prayed with the Apostles at Pentecost. Catholics honor her above all the saints as the Mother of God and their own spiritual mother.
Her motherly care shows up all through Catholic life: the Rosary prayed on long drives, May crownings with flowers, and the roses that tumbled from St. Juan Diego's cloak at Tepeyac in 1531, leaving the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At Cana it was Mary who noticed the wine had run out and told the servants, "Do whatever He tells you." She still notices what we need.
“Am I not here, I who am your mother?”
Words of Our Lady to St. Juan Diego, according to the Nican Mopohua tradition

What happened at Guadalupe?
In December 1531 Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego near Mexico City. She sent him to the bishop with roses gathered in winter, and when he opened his cloak her image was on it. Her feast is December 12.
What is the Memorare?
A short, beloved prayer that begins "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection was left unaided." It is a go-to prayer for moments of worry.
What is a May crowning?
