The Life of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

Margaret Mary spent years of her childhood sick in bed and found comfort in prayer. She entered the Visitation convent at Paray-le-Monial, where between 1673 and 1675 Christ appeared to her and showed her His Heart burning with love for all people.

With the help of St. Claude de la Colombière she spread devotion to the Sacred Heart, which grew into the Feast of the Sacred Heart and the First Friday devotion loved by Catholics everywhere.
